The unveiling of Brother Joseph Aspell's
inspirational masterpiece marks our parish's tenth anniversary. The statue
itself stands more than nine feet tall and will sit on the existing
five-foot pedestal atop the entry steps to the chapel facing San Felipe
Road.
Monsignor John Sandersfeld says it is his
hope that the parish and community of Evergreen will join in the unveiling
and blessing of this new bronze statue:
As we unveil the image of Francis we will
pause to acknowledge the challenge it brings to each of us as we now face
the next ten years in community and service to the people of Evergreen and
San Jose.
