Minutes
Attendees: Marynka Rojas, Ed Duvalle,
Jim Koepf, Vivian Miranda , Glenn Valois,
Joyce Harper, Willy Agbayani , Fr. John
Sandersfeld.
COMMUNICATION: There were no
Commission Meetings for this meeting due to
the nature of the topics that needed to be
discussed. The subject of Communication at
SFOASJ was discussed by asking those present
what the desired ideal state would be if
“communication “ was effectively and
efficiently managed.
The “desired state “ was described as:
A community where the vision is totally
transparent to all because of consistency in
messaging, a sense of identity, and where
everyone knows that each person has a role.
This implies that we are:
Explicitly Hospitable
Really greeting people who come for services
Caring for each other
Involved in the community and are connected
to each other
Trusting of each other
Fr. John asked that we continue this
discussion when we meet on March 13th and
include Pastoral and Faith Formation aspects
in “communication”.
NEW BUILDING: Jim Koepf reported
that the “fire rating “ issue has still to
be finalized and discussed with Seramark. As
of now, there is no approximate cost for the
building until this issue is resolved. Fund
raising for the new building has started
with Fr. John personally visiting potential
large donors in the parish . Letters
requesting for funds have been mailed out to
the three categories of parishioners: New
registrants, those who did not contribute to
the last Capital Campaign but asked for a
call back, and those who did not respond to
the Capital Campaign. The callout team will
start their calls in a week.
NOMINATIONS: The following
nominations were made for various open
positions in the Council:
Co Chair:
