The Church invites us to reflect on the many blessings we have received and to make a financial commitment which is planned, proportional, sacrificial and an expression of thankfulness. Our discussion about sharing your treasure, gives you some information to help you determine an amount and then use this worksheet to help you determine this amount:

Also, you have the opportunity to serve your parish. Review how you can share your talents and share your time. Then, click the button above to submit your commitment online (it is a secured) or if you prefer, download our commitment card and send it in to the parish.

Note: In 2007, our renewal period is September 30 to October 14th but you can make your commitment at any time if you are not able to do it during that time.

Tax Advantages of Thoughtful Giving
Federal and state laws on income and inheritance taxes encourage charitable giving. All weekly and campaign contributions to St. Francis parish are deductible for those who itemize their taxes. Because each situation is unique, we urge you to discuss various gift options with your family and possibly your financial advisors to determine what type of gift is most beneficial to you and St. Francis Parish.

How To Donate or Transfer Stock to SFOA:

1.The following applies for donations of stock for offertory, restricted or capital donations to previous SFOA campaigns:

If you have stock certificates and wish to donate to the Parish, please sign in the back of the certificate and attach a cover letter. The cover letter should indicate your intent to transfer the shares from your name to St. Francis of Assisi Parish. If the stocks are jointly shared, please make sure both parties sign in the back of the stock certificates and also on the cover letter. We ask that you also forward a copy of the cover letter to our office, so that we may have it for our records.

When the Parish receives the check and statement from the Paine Webber, they do not indicate who donated the stock to St. Francis of Assisi; therefore, if you could contact me after you made the transaction so I can credit your account and send you a tax letter.

The amount you wish to give is a personal decision that must be considered carefully. Financial circumstances differ for each family.
