Ignatian Spirituality
All Presentations 7:00 pm -8:30 pm / Chapel

"Finding God In All Things: An Introduction to Ignatian Spirituality"
Nearly five hundred years ago Ignatius Loyola developed a practical spirituality focused on finding God in all things that is still inspiring and transforming men and women all over the world. In this series Jim Neafsey, D.Min will explore the Ignatian vision and experience some of the spiritual practices at the heart of Ignatian spirituality. If you are ready to “set out into the deep” accept this as an opportunity to enter more deeply into prayer and meditation. Both Fall and a Spring Series have three Tuesday evening presentations and conclude with a half day mini retreat. We recommend attending all sessions. Note: Pre registration is requested by Thurs Oct 18 for the Fall series and Thurs Apr 24 for the Spring series.

FALL SERIES

  • Tue   Oct 23       "Who is St. Ignatius? What Does His Story Have To Say To Us?"

  • Tue   Oct 30        "Ignatius As A Teacher Of Prayer"
Ignatius offered many practical suggestions on ways to  pray that can help us become attuned to God in the midst of our daily lives. We will explore the teaching of  Ignatius on prayer and experience a few of the prayer forms he suggests.
  • Tue   Nov 6        "Spiritual Discernment"
Ignatius believed that the Spirit of God is constantly guiding us in the big and little choices of our lives, but we need help in learning to recognize how God speaks.  Ignatian discernment guidelines can help us listen to our hearts…and with our hearts to the world around us.
